Acknowledging that we are on and work on the traditional lands of the Indigenous Peoples (Inuit, First Nations, Métis) of Canada. Servicing all the students either in the Campus communities or online at a distance.
Currently the NLCSA has one paid business manager that is location at the Slave Lake Campus. There is up to 15 elected active Campus NLCSA representatives along with 5 executive council members. The widespread locations of our students allow the NLCSA meetings to be held by person to person, Skype or conference calls, making representation accessible to all council. We operate with an exclusiveness of understanding the diversity the NLC students face. We utilize this knowledge by advocating at the College Board level.
One main directive is to empower the NLC students through the council voice. This is promoted through self promotion to ensure a quality education and well-being opportunities. Making the student journey balanced with the supports required. All NLC students can access the NLCSA services.
Currently updating our bylaws to ensure transparency and ensuring student wellness is our top priority.
