Lynette Lambert

NLCSA President - 1

A Message from the NLCSA President

My name is Lynette Lambert, I am a 29-year-old Metis student at Northern Lakes College. I started my educational journey with NLC at the Smoky River campus in 2018; I completed one year of Academic Upgrading. While attending classes and juggling adult life is tough, I made sure to carve out some time to get involved with the Student Union at my campus in 2018. I remember my very first SA meeting, I was late and so nervous to go; but I was welcomed with smiling faces and open arms. That experience helped me to out of my shell a little more, really get out of my comfort zone. I am currently serving my second year as the President of the NLCSA, it has been and continues to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. The friendships and bonds that I been fortunate enough to cultivate with my fellow council members is incredible. As of Fall 2020 I will be starting my second year of the Social Work Program, and I could not be more excited! If I can leave you with something to take away from all this, it would be to get involved and step out of that comfort zone!
